"Something" appears in place of Yoshiki's childhood friend, Hikaru, who disappeared on the village mountain six months ago(and died there). Its appearance is identical to that of his deceased friend, but this "Something" is a completely different creature.

Hikaru was a teenager of medium height with short white hair. Usually he was seen in school form, which consisted of white shirt and black trousers. He also wore a black clock as an accessory on his left wrist. From manga it is known that Hikaru loves bright things. Hikaru is an excitable and energetic personality. He was often seen smiling or releasing jokes from Josiki. He was also a devoted and caring friend, since in his last minutes of his life the real Hikaru wanted Yosiki not to be alone. The former Hikaru (the essence that occupied the dead body of the real Hikaru) vowed that he would protect Yosiki. Hikaru also loved to make groves and, in principle, behaved like a child.

Although his body is dead, it still has warmth, organs, and humanly functions such as a pulse – it is shown that he is capable of bleeding, eating, and breathing. He can also open slits anywhere on his body to reveal tentacle-like appendages, which he calls his “ugly” side. With his insides he can enter other people’s bodies, and kill if he wants to (which he often does with other spirits). According to Yosiki, his insides are cold and feel like raw chicken covered in marinade. His insides usually only leak out when he gets emotional. Hikaru is carefree and playful. He often becomes emotional when he realizes that he has hurt Yosiki in some way. He is overprotective and jealous of Yosiki when it comes to other spirits getting close to him.

Since Hikaru is not human, he lacks the three main human desires: he has no libido. he has no appetite and eats only for the taste. the same with sleep, he has no drowsiness, but he can fall asleep if he wants. Hikaru likes hot weather, even if it is too hot - such weather makes him feel alive. he may sometimes have no pulse, because he sometimes forgets to make his heart beat. if Hikaru wants his wounds to heal, they will disappear. he feels absolutely no pain, so scratches and the like do not bother him. but if it is a wound that threatens his life, then of course it will heal. he remembers all the memories when the real Hikaru was still alive. he has all the memories, but almost everything he does is new to him, because he has not lived before, now he has consciousness for the first time (for example, he can be surprised by the taste of food and the like). When he's upset, his "guts" leak out (for example, seeping through the skin on his face). This being, devoid of personality or a sense of self, almost perfectly imitated the memories and personality of the real Hikaru and became what he is now. He can also open slits anywhere on his body to reveal tentacle-like appendages, which he calls his "ugly" side. With his entrails, he can enter the bodies of others and kill if he wants (which he often does with other spirits). Hikaru doesn't understand human feelings such as falling in love, so he can't say for sure that he loves Yosiki in a romantic way. He doesn't understand the difference between life and death. Hikaru is very afraid of loneliness, because he experienced this feeling constantly before he occupied Hikaru's dead body. He is afraid that Yosiki will hate him, leave him, etc, and he cries because of it. Hikaru likes bright clothes and watermelons.

He can form a "slit" on his torso if he wants. If you look at this slit, you can't see anything inside, it's just dark. Hikaru likes it when Yosiki puts his hand in this slit. It's cold inside. Hikaru feels very good when Yosiki puts his hand in this hole, he starts to blush and even moan slightly (BUT IT DOESN'T FEEL LIKE SEX!!). as he says, these sensations are similar to someone stroking his head. he enjoys the feeling of a living body inside this "cut". This hole can disappear from his torso if he wants.

Yoshiki and Hikaru became friends when they were children. Although they sometimes argued, they maintained a close friendship throughout high school. Hikaru became a comfort to Yoshiki, who hated living in the countryside and always felt shy and uncomfortable with the villagers poking their noses into his personal life. Hikaru encouraged Yoshiki to come to him when he felt this way. From Yoshiki's perspective, Hikaru was a bit childish. At the same time, to him, Hikaru was someone who never cried or seemed vulnerable. After Hikaru's death, Yoshiki seemed to realize that there were things he didn't know about Hikaru, such as the possibility that he often felt like crying. Despite this, Hikaru still cared deeply for Yoshiki, as his dying wish was for Unuki-san (the entity that later occupied Hikaru's dead body) to stay by Yoshiki's side so that he would not be alone.

when he is very upset, he cries, his insides leak out, and if the emotions are too strong, he loses control and these insides envelop Yosiki. this is capable of killing Yosiki, but Hikaru regains control of himself in time and then apologizes for what he did.
